MOM | REALTOR | changemaker

I joke that my first real estate transaction was at the tender age of eight. When my parents purchased their first home. They were immigrants and didn’t speak English well, the real estate agent didn’t speak Spanish. So my parents would ask me to translate when they couldn’t find the right words to communicate with the agent.

As a young lady searching for a career, I found joy in serving the Spanish-speaking community. They remind me of my parents, my tios and tias. As I leaned into a career in real estate, I often found myself thinking back to my parents’ home purchase. What a huge difference a Spanish-speaking agent would have made back in the early '90s.

I’ve now been a Realtor for 14 years, and the foundation of my business stems from that memory as an 8year old. Take care of you the way I would want my parents to be treated. This is why I love my career and truly enjoy helping people accomplish their goals.

I am among the top 50 Latino REALTOR® in my region. At first, I hesitated to share…

Throughout my life, I've faced numerous challenges that tested my belief in myself. As a child, I struggled with the feeling of not being smart enough because English was my second language, despite being born in Arizona. During my teenage years, I carried the weight of shame from the judgmental looks I received as a single teen mother. And in my the real estate industry, where success is often measured by monthly performance and the number of homes sold, there is always someone outperforming you.

Recently, I was informed that I am among the top NAHREP 50 Latino realtors in my region. At first, I hesitated to share this accomplishment! I questioned why it never seemed good enough. I'll be honest; I didn't feel worthy of sharing my achievement.

But then, I reflected on the incredible families who trusted me and gave me the privilege of assisting them in making significant financial decisions. I realized that there are others who, like me, struggle with the notion of not being good enough. To all of you facing similar doubts, I want you to know we’ve got this! We are smart, we are great, we are loved, we’re enough.

Even those of us considered "top producers" battle with these feelings.

Let's remember that rankings or numbers do not solely define success. It's about the impact we have on people's lives and the trust they place in us. So, here's to celebrating every milestone, big or small, and inspiring one another to rise above our insecurities.
